Mmm mmm Onsen

Our private bath and our views!! Amazing!

That night we stayed at an amazing Ryokan (traditional Japanese style inn) with a private hot spring bath and kaiseki, a delicious 9 course traditional Japanese dinner as well as an amazingly large breakfast!
The hotel also had public open air baths that guests could indulge in however they were separate for males and females so in order to maximise our couple time together most of our onsen-ing was done in our private hot spring bath ;) For those not familiar with onsens they are for relaxing only - you wash prior to entering one and its a little unnerving your first time as you are naked with complete strangers but once you move past that its a lovely and very relaxing experience.

Day two heading out - we battled the very intimidating transit system and headed to our next destination, Atami! Bullet trains (aka shinkansen) for the win!
